Corporate Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting the Corporate Legal Affairs division, the full-time Corporate Counsel will provide legal advice on corporate matters, including contracts, compliance, and intellectual property, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and provide advice on various issues related to non-profit operations and animal protection
• Review, revise, and draft contracts, and assist with lobbying registration and reporting requirements
• Maintain the organization's trademark portfolio and provide legal advice on data privacy and employment law matters

Required qualifications

• J.D. with a minimum of eight years of relevant legal experience
• Member in good standing of a state bar association
• Proven legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict time constraints
• Support for PETA's philosophy and commitment to the organization's objectives
