Corporate Counsel

Job Summary

To support the development, acquisition, financing, construction, and sale of solar and battery energy storage projects, the full-time Corporate Counsel will draft and negotiate commercial agreements, assist with project development and real estate transactions, and provide legal support across various teams in a remote or hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a variety of commercial agreements and support contract template development
• Assist in the negotiation and administration of real estate documents and coordinate with external parties on project development matters
• Manage due diligence processes and support project acquisitions, sales, and financing transactions, including drafting necessary documentation

Required qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Experience in renewable energy, project development, commercial real estate, or related fields
• Familiarity with commercial contracting and negotiation of agreements
• Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
• Understanding of legal and regulatory developments in the renewable energy sector
