Corporate Counsel, Clinical Contracts

Job Summary

Supporting the Legal Department in a remote capacity, the Corporate Counsel, Clinical Contracts will manage the review, negotiation, and execution of various clinical contracts while collaborating with multiple departments to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with company guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, analyze, and negotiate clinical-related contracts, including clinical trial agreements and collaboration agreements
• Liaise between internal business units and external parties to address legal and contractual matters efficiently
• Identify risks and issues, propose alternatives to meet business objectives, and support employees regarding the Contract Management process

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to a US state bar in good standing
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a major law firm or in-house with a pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare company
• At least 2+ years of experience reviewing and negotiating Clinical Trial Agreements
• Strong legal analysis skills and knowledge of regulations impacting pharmaceutical research and development contracts
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, with a working knowledge of Excel and Access
