Corporate Counsel, Federal Compliance
Job Summary
Providing frontline legal counseling in a fast-paced environment, the full-time Corporate Counsel, Federal Compliance will manage legal support for Okta's Public Sector teams, focusing on U.S. government regulatory frameworks and compliance with standards such as FedRAMP and DoD CC SRG.
Key responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end legal support for Okta's Public Sector teams, focusing on Regulated Products and Services
- Act as the subject matter expert on emerging cloud service policies, educating internal teams on shifting regulations
- Partner with cross-functional legal counsel to ensure products meet rigorous U.S. and international regulatory standards
Required qualifications
- 5-7+ years of legal practice, with at least 2+ years of experience counseling cloud/SaaS providers on U.S. Federal Government compliance
- Experience with classified product delivery or FedRAMP High and DoD IL5/6 authorizations
- Proven track record supporting IT products and SaaS business models
- J.D. from a highly-regarded institution and active Bar admission; an undergraduate degree in a technical field is a plus
- U.S. Citizenship and a Top Secret security clearance are required
