Corporate Counsel - Privacy and Cybersecurity

Job Summary

Providing strategic legal counsel, the full-time Corporate Counsel - Privacy and Cybersecurity will support projects related to product development, data privacy, AI, and cybersecurity, while working remotely and collaborating with various company divisions to enhance compliance and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide practical legal counsel and support for product development, data privacy, and AI-related legal issues
• Analyze and develop compliance strategies for emerging legal frameworks concerning AI, data privacy, and cybersecurity
• Partner with compliance and business teams to ensure adherence to industry and governmental regulations

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• 5+ years of relevant experience as in-house counsel or private practice attorney with expertise in data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI law
• Experience in a fast-paced technology company
• Familiarity with consumer financial services laws and the FTC
• Preferred experience in the payment or financial services industry
