Corporate Counsel - State Licensed

Job Summary

To support a growing performing arts organization, the full-time Corporate Counsel - State Licensed will provide legal guidance on commercial contracts, compliance, and operational matters in a remote setting, preferably for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives on operational, compliance, and legal matters
• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of various commercial agreements
• Design and implement compliance programs and policies to mitigate risks across business units

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active U.S. state bar membership
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, focusing on commercial contracts
• Strong business judgment with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent relationship-building skills to influence internal and external partners
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear guidance
