Corporate Development Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Corporate Development Counsel to manage legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate transaction documents for acquisitions and investments
• Lead and manage the legal due diligence process, coordinating with internal specialists
• Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team and manage outside counsel on transactions

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active state bar membership
• At least 4 years of relevant legal experience with a focus on M&A
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex transaction agreements
• Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and securities law
• Experience in a law firm's M&A/Corporate practice is preferred
