Corporate Development Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting the Corporate HQ, the full-time salaried Corporate Development Counsel will manage the legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating key transaction documents, while collaborating closely with senior leadership and various business teams in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate key transaction documents for acquisitions and investments
• Lead and manage the end-to-end legal due diligence process, coordinating with internal specialists
• Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team, providing strategic and tactical advice

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active state bar membership
• At least 4 years of relevant legal experience focused on M&A, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements
• Expertise in the M&A lifecycle and strong understanding of corporate, contract, and securities law
• Experience at a law firm in its M&A/Corporate practice is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in high-pressure situations
