Job Summary
Supporting the Corporate HQ remotely, the full-time salaried Corporate Development Counsel will manage the legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities, including structuring, negotiating, and overseeing transactions from due diligence to integration.
Key responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate transaction documents for acquisitions and investments
- Lead the legal due diligence process, coordinating with internal specialists and summarizing findings
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team, providing strategic advice on deal structures and negotiation strategies
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active bar membership
- At least 4 years of relevant legal experience focused on M&A, including drafting and negotiating complex agreements
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and securities law
- Experience at a law firm in its M&A/Corporate practice preferred, with in-house experience at a tech or high-growth company as a plus
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders
