Job Summary
To support corporate growth initiatives, the full-time salaried Corporate Development Counsel will manage the legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities, including structuring, negotiating, and overseeing transactions, while collaborating with senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate transaction documents for acquisitions and investments
- Lead the legal due diligence process and summarize findings for stakeholders
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team, providing strategic advice on deal structures and negotiations
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active state bar membership
- At least 4 years of relevant legal experience focused on M&A, including hands-on experience with transaction agreements
- Expertise in corporate law, contract law, and securities law
- Experience at a law firm in its M&A/Corporate practice is preferred; in-house experience at a tech or high-growth company is a plus
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines
