Job Summary
Supporting the Corporate HQ remotely, the full-time salaried Corporate Development Counsel will manage the legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities, including structuring, drafting, and negotiating transaction documents while collaborating closely with senior leadership and various business teams.
Key responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate key transaction documents for acquisitions and investments
- Lead the end-to-end legal due diligence process and manage internal specialists
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team and provide strategic advice on deal structures
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) with active membership in at least one state bar
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant legal experience, particularly in M&A
- Experience drafting and negotiating complex transaction agreements
- Strong understanding of corporate law, contract law, and securities law
- Experience in a law firm's M&A/Corporate practice is preferred; in-house experience at a technology company is a plus
