Job Summary
Supporting the Corporate HQ remotely, the full-time Corporate Development Counsel will manage the legal aspects of M&A and strategic investment activities, including structuring, negotiating, and overseeing due diligence processes.
Key responsibilities
- Structure, draft, and negotiate key transaction documents for acquisitions and investments
- Lead the end-to-end legal due diligence process, coordinating with internal specialists and summarizing findings
- Serve as the primary legal advisor to the Corporate Development team, providing strategic advice on deal structures and negotiation strategies
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with active membership in at least one state bar
- At least 4 years of relevant legal experience, specifically in M&A, including hands-on experience with complex transaction agreements
- Expertise in corporate law, contract law, and securities law
- Experience at a law firm in its M&A/Corporate practice is strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders
