Corporate Underwriter

Job Summary

Providing expert-level guidance on loan scenarios, the full-time Corporate Underwriter will support the Wholesale and Sales Teams by conducting complex income analysis and serving as a primary contact for underwriting inquiries in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for scenario inquiries and underwriting guidance related to Conventional and Government loan products
• Perform pre-submission income calculations for complex income types, including variable income and self-employment
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Agency/Investor guidelines and internal policies while contributing to team meetings and training sessions

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mortgage underwriting or a related credit role
• At least 2 years of experience specific to Conventional and/or Government loan products
• Recent experience in underwriting and credit review
• Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
