Job Summary
A company is looking for an AVP, Corporate Underwriting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Underwriting teams and Insurance Leadership to establish clear underwriting guidance and governance standards
- Design and monitor governance controls across all Insurance lines of business, including conducting peer reviews and audits
- Support product innovation and manage communication between the Chief Underwriting Office and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; industry designations like CPCU are a plus
- Significant commercial underwriting experience (7+ years preferred) with strong technical judgment
- Working knowledge of underwriting governance and operational workflows
- Experience in performing underwriting file reviews and audits
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting
