Job Summary

A company is looking for an AVP, Corporate Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Underwriting teams and Insurance Leadership to establish clear underwriting guidance and governance standards
  • Design and monitor governance controls across all Insurance lines of business, including conducting peer reviews and audits
  • Support product innovation and manage communication between the Chief Underwriting Office and stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; industry designations like CPCU are a plus
  • Significant commercial underwriting experience (7+ years preferred) with strong technical judgment
  • Working knowledge of underwriting governance and operational workflows
  • Experience in performing underwriting file reviews and audits
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and reporting
