Job Summary
Supporting a diverse portfolio of construction projects across the United States, the full-time Cost Manager - Construction will provide cost management services throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on cost planning, commercial oversight, and financial control while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Advising clients on strategies, managing vendor prequalification, and making final recommendations on proposals and bids
- Managing estimating services by developing project estimates, reviewing junior team members' estimations, and presenting value engineering recommendations to clients
- Overseeing cost reporting and control processes, including reviewing cost reports, managing payment applications, and conducting post-contract reviews
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role within the construction industry
- RICS accreditation or progress towards it is valuable
- Experience supporting cost management on medium or large-sized construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes and value engineering
