Counter-Threat Intelligence Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on enhancing cyber threat defenses, the full-time remote Counter-Threat Intelligence Engineer will collect and operationalize threat intelligence, perform ethical hacking, and collaborate with various teams to improve security measures and incident response.

Key responsibilities:

• Collect and analyze threat intelligence from internal and external sources to inform defensive strategies
• Conduct adversary-focused research and ethical hacking to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
• Partner with Security Operations to develop and validate detection mechanisms and response workflows

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience, including 2 years in threat intelligence or related fields
• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification preferred, with consideration for other relevant certifications
• Proven knowledge of the cyber kill chain, MITRE ATT&CK, and common attack techniques
• Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM, XDR/EDR, and vulnerability scanners
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
