Job Summary

To build Duolingo's presence in Nigeria from the ground up, the remote contractor Country Marketing Manager, Nigeria will manage social media strategies, establish local partnerships, and drive brand awareness through innovative marketing campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Source, pitch, and select a Nigerian social media agency to execute content strategies
• Own the strategic direction for @DuolingoNigeria across various platforms, ensuring culturally relevant content
• Develop and implement a comprehensive brand awareness strategy, including partnerships and PR efforts

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of consumer marketing experience with a focus on social media
• Proven experience in briefing, selecting, and managing creative or social media agencies
• Deep knowledge of Nigerian digital culture and platforms
• Strong strategic and writing skills for effective communication with agencies
• Experience working remotely with global teams
