Job Summary

A company is looking for an Improper Payment Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of a scalable Improper Payments Program (IPP) to monitor and reduce payment risk across Accounts Payable
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop data-driven testing strategies to identify fraud, errors, duplicate payments, and control gaps
  • Analyze vendor payments and disbursements using advanced analytics to detect anomalies and improper transactions
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; active CPA required
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, or AP controls, including building or managing improper payment programs
  • Strong expertise in Accounts Payable processes, internal controls, and risk assessment methodologies
  • Advanced data analysis and querying skills with experience in ERP systems (Tier 1 preferred)
  • Proven experience with statistical sampling, audit testing, and applying analytics to detect fraud, waste, and abuse
