CPA Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end accounting function for Coinbase's prime financing and brokerage business, the full-time Accounting Manager will manage monthly close processes, build scalable financial controls, and ensure accurate financial reporting while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and approve monthly financing accounting entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Build and implement automated financial processes and controls, including drafting standard operating procedures for SOX compliance
• Lead the team through monthly financial close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit processes, ensuring deadlines are met

Required qualifications

• CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience in fintech or financial services
• Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a publicly traded company
• Proven track record of building accounting processes and internal controls, including automation that reduces close timelines
• Experience managing a team through monthly close cycles and quarterly/annual reporting
• Working proficiency in NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite
