CPA Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Leading the end-to-end accounting function for Coinbase's prime financing and brokerage business, the full-time Accounting Manager will manage monthly close processes, develop scalable financial controls, and ensure compliance with SEC regulations in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the review and approval of monthly financing accounting entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy during each close cycle
• Build automated financial processes and controls for the prime financing function, including drafting standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency
• Lead the team through monthly financial close, quarterly reporting, and annual audits, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are audit-ready

Required qualifications

• CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and fintech or financial services roles
• Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a publicly traded company, including knowledge of SEC reporting requirements
• Proven ability to build accounting processes and internal controls, including designing SOPs and implementing automation
• Experience managing a team through monthly close cycles and regulatory reporting, demonstrating the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Working proficiency in NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite to streamline close and reporting workflows
