CPA Accounting Policy Officer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Bank Accounting Policy Officer will provide technical accounting support to senior management by interpreting accounting guidance, preparing documentation, and maintaining the Bank's accounting policies while monitoring emerging developments in US GAAP and IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Research and analyze technical accounting guidance for new products and significant transactions, documenting findings through policy memorandums
• Monitor and communicate emerging accounting developments and their implications for the Bank's operations and reporting
• Assist financial reporting teams in ensuring compliance with US GAAP, SEC rules, and bank regulatory guidance

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of technical accounting experience with a Big 4 Accounting Firm or a combination of Big 4 and industry experience
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA certification
• Excellent analytical and project management skills
