CPA Assistant Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and consolidate financial statements, manage the general ledger, and oversee monthly close processes
• Assist in the preparation and management of financial audits and regulatory reporting
• Supervise accounting staff and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 3-6 years of experience in an insurance company
• Technical expertise in GAAP and Statutory accounting
• Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably within a health plan
• CPA designation preferred
