CPA Assistant Controller, Revenue

Job Summary

Owning all aspects of revenue recognition for complex crypto-native transactions, the full-time Assistant Controller, Revenue will ensure compliance with ASC 606/IFRS 15, lead month-end close processes, and partner with cross-functional teams to operationalize new product launches in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end revenue recognition for crypto transactions, ensuring adherence to accounting standards
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Legal teams to establish revenue accounting treatments for new offerings

Required qualifications

• 13+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years focused on revenue recognition in relevant industries
• CPA designation with expertise in complex accounting guidance for digital assets
• Experience implementing SOX-compliant internal controls over revenue cycles
• Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle) and SQL
• Direct people management experience and a track record of developing accounting teams
