CPA Associate Director of SEC Reporting

Job Summary

Seeking a proactive CPA Associate Director of SEC Reporting in a full-time remote role, this position will manage the preparation and review of SEC filings, lead SOX compliance initiatives, and provide technical accounting guidance while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic biotechnology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual SEC filings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
• Manage SOX compliance initiatives and serve as a key contact for external auditors during audits
• Research and document technical accounting conclusions under U.S. GAAP for complex transactions

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Active CPA license required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including SEC registrant experience
• Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries preferred
