CPA Bank Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Bank Controller to oversee the accounting function for its banking entity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement the bank's accounting infrastructure, including policies and financial close processes
• Lead regulatory compliance efforts, including preparation of Call Reports and managing regulatory examinations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the accounting architecture supports new product launches and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, particularly in banking
• Deep familiarity with bank regulatory accounting and GAAP for insured depository institutions
• Strong technical accounting skills related to investment securities, credit losses, and interest income
• CPA certification is required
• Experience with OCC, FDIC, or Federal Reserve examinations is strongly preferred
