CPA Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Controller to oversee the full accounting function and infrastructure for scaling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close processes and produce reporting packages for leadership
• Oversee inventory cost accounting and maintain accurate inventory valuation
• Ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations and manage sales tax responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• CPA with 8-12+ years of accounting experience, including 2-3 years as a Controller or Senior Accounting Manager
• Experience in CPG, Food & Beverage, or multi-channel consumer brands with physical inventory
• Proficiency in DTC, Amazon, and retail accounting practices
• Knowledge of IRC 263A, ASC 606, and ASC 330
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite and QBO, and managing a small accounting team
