CPA Controller

Job Summary

To support a fast-scaling financial services business, the full-time remote CPA Controller will own the integrity of financial records, lead the close process, manage external audits, and set accounting policies while collaborating with Product and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the monthly, quarterly, and annual close end-to-end for all entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
• Lead technical accounting research and translate complex conclusions into clear policies and processes
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and maintain a strong internal controls framework

Required qualifications

• CPA certification is required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in fast-scaling or complex, multi-entity environments
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP with the ability to research and document complex issues
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams on financial system design and fund flow architecture
• Familiarity with fintech, crypto, or regulated financial services environments is a plus
