CPA Controller

Job Summary

Owning the full accounting function in a pivotal growth phase, the full-time remote Controller will manage accounting operations, build internal controls, and ensure tax and workforce compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support responsible business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the accounting function, including accounts payable, reconciliations, and revenue recognition in compliance with US GAAP
• Build and maintain internal controls, overseeing payroll reviews, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate income tax compliance and manage treasury operations, including cash management and compliance reporting

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong foundation in audit; CPA required
• Deep expertise in US GAAP, including revenue recognition and accounting controls
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment with a natural instinct for identifying risks and discrepancies
• Ability to independently manage complex accounting processes while balancing competing priorities
• Comfortable partnering cross-functionally and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
