CPA Controller Consultant

Job Summary

To support a multi-entity organization, the part-time Controller / Senior Accounting Consultant will provide hands-on accounting and financial support, overseeing intercompany processes, tax strategy, and month-end close activities in a remote contractor role requiring approximately 20-25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the intercompany elimination process and ensure appropriate accounting and reconciliation across entities
• Support Canadian tax strategy and maintain the consolidated trial balance model in coordination with the finance team
• Review accounting policies and balance sheet accounts, identifying discrepancies and opportunities for improvement

Required qualifications

• CPA required; significant senior-level finance and technical accounting experience may also be considered
• 8-15 years of relevant finance/accounting experience with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-brand environment
• ERP implementation or migration experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong plus
