CPA Director of Accounting

Job Summary

To support a growing finance organization, the remote Director of Accounting will lead technical accounting initiatives, strengthen financial reporting and governance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and scalability in a rapidly evolving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Controller to oversee financial close processes and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting across a multi-entity organization
• Serve as the technical accounting subject matter expert, leading evaluations for complex business transactions and new accounting standards
• Develop scalable accounting policies and frameworks to support value-based care arrangements and prepare for future public company readiness

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred
• Active CPA license required
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry experience
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience with complex accounting matters
• Experience in healthcare or a highly regulated industry, particularly with value-based care arrangements
