CPA Director of Technical Accounting

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical accounting for audit and S-1, including revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, and complex financing instruments
• Prepare GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures from the ground up
• Manage external auditors and technical accounting advisors, ensuring compliance and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Active CPA with a strong Big 4 or national firm foundation
• 8+ years of experience in technical accounting and/or financial reporting, with fluency in US GAAP
• Hands-on experience preparing GAAP financial statements and managing external auditors
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools for drafting, research, and analysis
• Comfort with coding small scripts or automations (Python, SQL, etc.) to enhance work efficiency
