CPA Director of Technical Accounting

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on and strategic CPA Director of Technical Accounting in a full-time remote role, who will manage all aspects of technical accounting and SEC reporting, ensuring IPO readiness while drafting memos, preparing filings, and building foundational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead the technical accounting function, researching and operationalizing accounting positions for complex transactions
• Prepare and review SEC filings, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations
• Partner cross-functionally to drive IPO readiness and execute financial reporting milestones

Required qualifications

• CPA required, with strong Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including SEC reporting at a public company
• IPO experience preferred, either taking a company public or supporting clients through the process
• Expert knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
