CPA Financial Controller

Job Summary

To build a scalable accounting function, the full-time salaried CPA Financial Controller will manage U.S. GAAP-compliant financial statements, oversee the annual external audit, and establish core accounting policies while collaborating closely with the VP Finance in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process and ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP standards
• Lead the preparation and execution of the annual external audit, serving as the primary liaison with auditors
• Establish and manage accounting policies related to revenue recognition, expense management, and indirect tax compliance

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role at a high-growth company
• Deep expertise in U.S. GAAP, particularly in revenue recognition (ASC 606) and stock-based compensation
• Experience leading or supporting external audits and establishing internal controls
• Proven track record in building scalable close processes and implementing accounting systems
• CPA certification required; Big 4 or national firm public accounting experience preferred
