CPA Financial Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing finance team, the full-time CPA Financial Controller will manage monthly and year-end close processes, maintain the general ledger, and lead payroll processing while collaborating cross-functionally in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Lead US payroll processing and ensure compliance with finance-related matters in coordination with the PEO
• Support the preparation of internal financial reports, forecasting processes, and variance analyses

Required qualifications

• CPA or CPA-track candidate
• Experience in a startup, high-growth, or SaaS environment
• Familiarity with expense platforms or close software
• Experience with international payroll or working with global EOR/PEO partners
• Comfort with multi-state tax environments and evolving compliance needs
