CPA Financial Controller

Job Summary

Leading the finance function for a legal services company, the full-time remote CPA Financial Controller will manage financial performance, oversee accounting functions, and drive financial planning and analysis while collaborating with the executive leadership team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and compliance with tax regulations
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans to support business growth
• Work closely with department heads to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency

Required qualifications

• CPA designation required
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in financial management, focusing on FP&A, accounting, and operations
• Knowledge of Canadian or American accounting policies and procedures
• Experience in multi-location businesses, professional services, or law firm accounting is an asset
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations
