CPA Financial Controller

Job Summary

To support a growing renewable energy developer, the full-time remote CPA Financial Controller will manage financial reporting, oversee accounting operations, and lead budgeting and cash management processes while ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and manage the general ledger
• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare rolling cash flow forecasts tied to project expenditures
• Design and maintain internal controls, establish accounting policies, and support due diligence processes for project buyers and investors

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior financial role
• Direct experience in renewable energy development, with a strong understanding of the development lifecycle
• Solid knowledge of GAAP, particularly in revenue recognition and capitalization of development costs
• Experience with Acumatica accounting software or similar platforms is a plus
