CPA Head of Accounting

Job Summary

As the first dedicated accounting hire, the full-time remote CPA Head of Accounting will manage the entire accounting function, establishing a REIT-ready infrastructure, overseeing project accounting, and ensuring compliance while building scalable processes and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Build and run the accounting function, executing financial close, reconciliations, and reporting while designing scalable processes
• Own REIT accounting and compliance, including asset/income testing and tax processes across development markets
• Implement ERP systems and financial controls, ensuring audit-ready financials and developing management reporting frameworks

Required qualifications

• Active CPA license required
• 5+ years of direct data center industry experience with exposure to development and construction environments
• 8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in capital-intensive industries, including leadership roles
• Demonstrated REIT experience, including compliance and asset/income testing
• Strong technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP, project accounting, and financial reporting
