CPA Lead Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Accountant - Financial Reporting and Financial Statements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly and quarterly Treasury and OMB reporting requirements, including GTAS submissions and certification
• Prepare and review financial reports and statements in compliance with OMB Circular A-136 and FASAB standards
• Post and reconcile general ledger entries and clear intragovernmental and suspense accounts prior to financial statement preparation

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a Certified Public Accountant
• At least three (3) years of federal accounting experience
• Working knowledge of FASAB, GAAP, USSGL accounts, and related federal accounting standards
• Knowledge of accounting theories, practices, methods, and financial management systems
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume, time-sensitive closeout environment
