CPA Lead Accountant

Job Summary

Owning the full cycle of accounting and reporting activities, the remote CPA Lead Accountant will facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes while preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, and supporting the Payroll accounting group.

Key responsibilities:

• Facilitate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations related to the Payroll accounting group
• Analyze financial data to support management decisions and identify areas for improvement

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of six years of progressive accounting experience, including Financial Operations and General Ledger Month-End Close
• United States citizenship is required
• CPA certification obtained or in progress is preferred
• Experience in a federal government contracting environment is desired
