CPA Lead Technical Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Technical Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Simplifying complex financial accounting concepts into actionable strategies and guidance for stakeholders
• Leading key components of annual financial audits and Form 990 preparation
• Researching and implementing new accounting standards and enhancing internal controls over financial reporting

Required Qualifications

• Active CPA license or equivalent international certification with strong US GAAP experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with audited financial statements and/or Form 990 preparation strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and nonprofit accounting
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal controls documentation
