CPA Lead Technical Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Technical Accountant to join their Accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

• Simplifying complex financial accounting concepts into actionable strategies for stakeholders
• Leading components of annual financial audits and preparing Form 990 financial reporting
• Researching and implementing new accounting standards and improving internal controls over financial reporting

Required Qualifications

• Active CPA license or equivalent international certification with strong US GAAP experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance plus 8+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in supporting audited financial statements and/or Form 990 preparation
• Solid understanding of nonprofit accounting and core financial reporting concepts
• Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal controls
