CPA Licensed Accounting Director

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Accounting to oversee technical accounting and compliance with reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee technical accounting research and ensure compliance with US GAAP and other reporting standards
• Monitor new GAAP and SEC regulations, establishing implementation plans and coordinating with internal teams
• Develop and maintain internal controls and processes for accurate financial reporting and assist with audits and regulatory filings

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting
• CPA certification
• Public accounting experience with a Big 4 or national accounting firm
• 7+ years of relevant experience with a strong technical accounting background
• Experience with financial statement preparation and management reporting
