CPA Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

Supporting the VP of Finance & Accounting, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Assistant Controller will manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee the month-end close, and ensure compliance with accounting standards while providing insights for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and oversee the Accounting team's daily operations
• Manage the month-end close process and the General Ledger, including bank transactions and account reconciliations
• Collaborate with external auditors for the annual audit and maintain internal controls and documentation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business; CPA earned or CPA candidate
• 8+ years of experience in accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software, particularly Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, and advanced MS Excel skills
