CPA Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller to oversee financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end general ledger closures and oversee cash flow
• Supervise staff accountants and ensure compliance with internal controls and financial reporting standards
• Act as the main contact for audits and tax filings, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of financial statements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with an accounting concentration
• CPA certification is required
• 12+ years of accounting experience, particularly in nonprofit financial operations
• Proven experience in team leadership and collaboration within accounting teams
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards
