CPA Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

To support the VP of Finance & Accounting, the remote CPA Licensed Assistant Controller will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, prepare financial statements, maintain internal controls, and analyze financial data while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and support the Accounting team in day-to-day operations and ensure proper treatment of accounting transactions
• Manage the month-end close process and maintain the General Ledger
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and support tax filing and payments

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business required; CPA earned or CPA candidate
• 8+ years' experience in accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software, especially Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains is a plus; advanced ability with MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
