CPA Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

Managing the monthly close cycle and financial reporting, the full-time CPA Licensed Assistant Controller will oversee internal controls, compliance, and audit coordination while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month-end and quarter-end close processes for multiple health plans and insurance companies
• Ensure timely publication of monthly financial statements and report on operational variances
• Facilitate the internal and annual external audit processes with external auditors

Required qualifications

• CPA preferred
• BS in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or MSA preferred
• 15+ years of progressively responsible financial leadership experience in managed care or insurance
• At least 5 years of public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and NAIC SSAP principles
