CPA Licensed Assistant Controller

Job Summary

Supporting the AVP Controller in a hybrid role, the full-time salaried CPA Licensed Assistant Controller will oversee accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, manage financial reporting, and drive process improvements within the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations, while presenting financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP
• Research and apply accounting guidance, manage customer and vendor contracts, and enhance accounting policies and procedures
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring effective collaboration across departments to support business objectives

Required qualifications

• Active CPA license required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or private industry
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and advanced Excel skills
