CPA Licensed Bank Controller

Job Summary

Leading the formation and operational build-out of Affirm Bank, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Bank Controller will manage the accounting team, oversee financial reporting, and ensure regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead the Bank accounting team, providing strategic direction and talent development
• Serve as a primary liaison with cross-functional teams to ensure effective service delivery and independent oversight
• Oversee all monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies

Required qualifications

• Accounting designation such as CPA or CA
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, or Treasury-related areas
• Minimum 5 years of people management experience
• Experience building out tools and processes for scaling an Accounting team in a similar industry
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting requirements
