CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

Leading the accounting function in a remote capacity, the full-time CPA Licensed Controller will manage accounting operations, ensure timely financial reporting, and drive automation initiatives while mentoring a small team of accounting professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and develop a high-performing team while enforcing accounting policies and internal controls
• Drive an efficient month-end close process using AI and modern tools to enhance accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Modernize accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense workflows through AI-enabled automation and continuous evaluation of systems

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or technology company
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and audit compliance
• Proven experience leading a full audit process
• Demonstrated ability to utilize AI and automation to enhance accounting efficiency
