CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

Serving as the primary financial contact for assigned clients, the full-time salaried CPA Licensed Controller will manage client engagements, oversee month-end and year-end close processes, and mentor junior staff while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, proactively communicating about deliverables and financial results
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Mentor and provide constructive feedback to junior team members, fostering their professional development and technical skills

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Controller or Senior Accountant role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software such as QuickBooks Online or Xero
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple clients or projects simultaneously under firm deadlines
